Cambridge Paris Rail Tral

by | Sep 13, 2013 | Blog | 0 comments

This delightful trail along the Grand River was one of our first rail trail discoveries, and remains one of our favourites.

There are now connecting trails in both directions, so longer rides are possible, both north from Cambridge and south from Paris.

Although we did not encounter wildlife on this trip, we have met a deer on a previous ride, and friends who rode the trail this summer also reported meeting a deer along the trail.

The video was recorded on a trip with our friends Diane and John in July, 2013. It was recorded using a Sony NEX5N with the 18-55 kit lens, although some shots were taken with the 16mm pancake and the fish-eye adapter. I’ve mounted the camera on my bike using a Manfrotto clamp and two way arm. It’s an arrangement that I prefer to GoPro and to the Sony Action Cam.

Our thanks to Diane’s parents, who were very hospitable hosts while and allowed us to shower and change before heading out for dinner.

Let me know if you have any suggestions for off-road rides.
