For the RX10 IV, I reached out to B&H Photo, who were happy to lend me one as part of their affiliate program. That gave me a little more time to fully appreciate and try to features.
Let me apologize for ranting on the menu and features – sorry, that went out of control. I debated putting that into its own video, but left it here. Fall has been disappointing in Toronto – leaves are still turning colour, our oak is just starting to turn now. Great closeups of ducks, swans and squirrels in High Park.
The RX10 IV is available at B&H – if you purchase with this link your price is the same, however I get a small commission. Thanks.
My daughter Calla embroidered the “Honest Reviewer”, you’ll find more of her work on Instagram @clitcrafts.
Soren Nissen, a talented bass player just released a new CD “Departures“, the launch was at Burdock, a truly wonderful music venue in Toronto. Soren played bass in Calla’s band and on her CD “Green Apple“.
The images used in the video are available on flickr, if you’d like to see the EXIF data.
Behind the scenes
My on-camera scenes were recorded with a Sony A63000 with the 16-70mm, the beauty shots with the SEL30M35 macro lens. Screen captures with the Atomos Shogun from the HDMI connector – where the feature didn’t support HDMI out, I used the using the Sony A63000 with the SEL30M35 macro lens. to shoot the screen. They may be slowed down or speeded up to match the narration
I use a Rodelink Filmmaker wireless kit for on camera audio, a Rode NT USB for narration. I edit on a 5K iMac using Final Cut 10.3.4.
I do read and respond to all comments, which are moderated. If, either here or on YouTube, you leave a relevant and civil comment without links (which are filtered by YouTube) it will be posted.
