Shooting photos in winter is challenging – I asked some friends to drop by the YouTube Space Toronto to share their tips.

Behind the Scenes:
I’m lucky, that thanks to my subscribers, I’m eligible to use the YouTube Toronto Space, which has a studio with multiple sets. As I said, I was inspired to do this video by the new winter decor.
YouTube provides everything except a crew, so I enlisted Paul Marshman (The Travelling Boomer) and Kim Worobec to assist. I’m thankful to Benny at YouTube Space Toronto for his expert assistance and troubleshooting.
YouTube provided a Sony A7S II camera with 18-105 lens on a Manfrotto tripod. For audio we are wearing the Sony URX B03 wireless mic system (they come two in a kit). Screen captures done with an Atomos Shogun. Audio was recorded on a Tascam DR-70D and synced in post. We used Kino-Flo Tegra fixtures on c-stands. Edited with Final Cut on an iMac.
