There are not many perks to being a camera reviewer, but one is (sometimes) getting a sneak peek at a new camera before it’s officially announced. In December, Fuji lent me a sample of the X-100F which was announced today.

This preview was based on a sample camera with pre-production firmware. In addition to a non-disclosure agreement, I was asked not to do performance testing and not to post photographs (although I was permitted to include them in the video, they’re not (as I would usually do) posted on flickr when the EXIF data can be seen.
Behind the Scenes
On camera scenes are recorded with a Fujifilm X-T2 with the XF 16-55 lens, and the VPB-XT2 grip. Closeups of the X-100F were recorded with the X-T2 using the XF 60mm macro lens. Menus were recorded using an Atomos Shogun.
On camera audio is recorded using a Rodelink Filmmaker wireless kit, narration recorded using a Rode NT-USB. Manfrotto tripods are used. I edit using Final Cut 10.3.1 on a 5K iMac.
I do read and respond to all comments, which are moderated. If, either here or on youtube, you leave a relevant and civil comment without links (which are filtered by youtube) it will be posted.
